This is the most popular design; the season 12. Tom wore this in the first series. In seasons 13 and 14, the scarf became a bit shorter due to wear and tear. A season 12 measures 15 feet.
A seaon 13 or 14 will be about a foot or so shorter.
Season 15
The season 15 works out to roughly 18 feet long; it starts at the floor, goes up and around for a waist length loop, then back down to the floor.
Season 16
This scarf was made by attaching the original scarf to the shorter season 14 version. The scarf should touch the ground on both sides and make a knee-sized loop. It works out roughly 20 feet long. Only for the truly serious Whovian!
Season 18
The scarf when outstretched should touch the ground on both sides and make a waist-length loop. When stretched (with blocking) it should make an almost ground-length loop. A truly original looking scarf.
